Character Animation with Flash
INSTRUCTOR: Vaughn Wolfe LOCATION: Portland State University DATES: Seven Saturdays, July 12 - August 23 TIME: 2:30 - 5:00 PM (except on August 23; 1:00 - 5:00 PM)
		Create an exciting Flash animation with your own characters! Learn traditional methods to develop characters and ideas, and then create a short animation in Macromedia Flash MX. Learn how to draw thumbnails, quick rough sketches, and how to develop storyboards, brainstorming many ideas before settling on a final concept. We'll also explore using sound to complement your animation. You will create a one-minute animation using your characters (or existing characters and sounds from a library), which you will be able to take home on a CD.
Vaughn Wolfe has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Communication Design from Parsons School of Design. His work includes graphic design, Web design and Flash animation. ENTERING GRADE LEVELS: 6 - 12 TUITION: $175
